Apple iMac iMacquarium Now Available in Europe

Bicester, United Kingdom, September 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- MacTechnology are pleased to announce the superb Apple iMacquarium, designed in the USA by Jake Harms, is now available in the UK & Europe, built by MacTechnology in Oxfordshire.
The iMac Aquarium is assembled from the modified coloured acrylic housing of Apple's superb 3rd & 4th generation iMac G3 computers, the versions with slot-loading CD/DVD drives. Originally developed by Jake Harms, an Apple engineer from Nebraska, it was launched in the USA three years ago and has received much high-profile international publicity.
However, shipping complete aquariums to buyers in the UK and Europe has always proved a problem, as Robert Peckham of MacTechnology explains;
"When MacTechnology first contacted Jake Harms early in 2012, he admitted that apart from the expense of shipping these aquariums to Europe, there was also an issue with them repeatedly getting damaged in transit. So Jake had actually stopped offering them for sale outside the the Americas and Canada, in the hope someone would eventually work with him in Europe."
Robert continued; "Our experience of finding new uses for obsolete Apple computers and components put us in a unique position to work with Jake. We've successfully replicated his very detailed & complex production modifications, and can now market these excellent aquariums to Apple enthusiasts throughout Europe at a much lower price than ordering them direct from the USA."
MacTechnology are now working with Apple resellers across the UK on a trade-in programme for Apple iMac G3s to make sure they have enough iMac G3s to meet the expected demand.
