Parker J. Cole's Book, Dark Cherub, Lands on Best of Summer Reading List
Scottsdale, AZ, September 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- A “Best of Summer” designation wasn't on author, Parker J. Cole's radar. At least not until her book caught the attention of eMediaCampaigns!, an award-winning public relations firm. Cole's Dark Cherub (Westbow Press), was chosen to showcase the author's literary vision. eMediaCampaigns! considers subject, originality, impact, originality and influence. Parker is one of more than 60 authors from America and Canada who made the list.
Parker J. Cole, known for her stance on pro-life issues, not only illustrates a different perspective on a controversial subject, but she does it in a compelling way. She uses an ingenious platform to challenge the ethics surrounding abortion.
"I started writing the book ten years ago as a reaction to a friend of mine who had an abortion," explained Cole. "I remember thinking that she was going to have the baby and then the next thing I knew, there was no baby. At that moment, I realized she had used abortion as a form of birth control. That disturbed me."
The author says her book is targeted for the pro-life arena and religious organizations that support the pro-life movement. She says Dark Cherub is unique partly because it is catalogue in the horror genre.
"What abortion does to children is horrible," says Parker J. Cole. "This book took me in new directions. I began to explore the concept of, 'what if millions of aborted children were to take revenge on their mothers? What if they demanded an answer to the question of, why did my mother do this to me?'"
Dark Cherub is available at www.westbowpress.com and selected online and traditional book stores. For additional information including interviews and speaking engagements, please email the author's publicist, FranBriggs@aol.com, or call 206.279.0818
