Kirby Drake Addresses American Chemical Society

Dallas, TX, September 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Kirby Drake, a partner with Klemchuk Kubasta LLP (KK LLP), a leading full-service intellectual property (IP) law firm, addressed the American Chemical Society (ACS) as part of the Chemistry and the Law (CHAL) Division at the National Meeting held August 19-23 in Philadelphia. Her speech, “IP Issues in Advertising and Promotion of the Chemical Industry,” offered a variety of ways to approach intellectual property concerns pertaining to advertising in the chemical industry. Klemchuk Kubasta also served as a Gold Sponsor of the CHAL Division reception as well as the CHAL Luncheon where Judge Pauline Newman of the Federal Circuit was the keynote speaker.

Drake’s extensive background in pharmaceutical and chemical patent preparation/prosecution and litigation has been strengthened through her long-standing membership and involvement in ACS. With more than 164,000 members, ACS is the world’s largest scientific society and one of the world’s leading sources of authoritative scientific information.
