New England Author Releases Science Fiction Novel, A Shift in Perception
Author, David Marrocco is pleased to announce the promotion of his science fiction novel, A Shift in Perception.
Providence, RI, September 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- An alien race called the Sharrins have aligned themselves with the Treeaons. Their mission is to protect gifted Human Beings that are meant to lead the way for God's sheep to salvation. But salvation from what? Could it be the dark ones who live beneath the Earth, preying on and toying with Humans for their own pleasure? Could the answer lie in a deadly game a strange person with unique abilities, from Las Vegas, likes to play? Cru Ketis holds the key to this question. His perception of the world around him will cause him to find out the world he thinks he is living in, is merely a cover for a much more dangerous one, in which Humans have been enslaved. To uncover this puzzle, he will have to come to the understanding that the greatest truths are not always the simplest but the greatest men are.
The book begins with a fast-paced whirlwind of crime that exposes the true grit of his early characters. Fast forward, and many years later, having recovered from a motorcycle accident, main character Cru Ketis befriends a group of homeless people who live under a bridge, and brings them home to give them a fresh start. All is well until Cru’s trust is broken when betrayal, triggered by an evil force, puts everything upside down.
Beings from another planet then come to Earth to protect humans with special gifts. As evil might stands in their way, they strive to defeat the bad, and Cru discovers his true strength and his ability to aid them in their mission. Murder, burglary, aliens, compassion, and loyalty all combine to satisfy many a reader’s craving for excitement in this tale of good versus evil. When all seems lost, and admitting failure seems the only realistic way out, willpower saves the day.
