ABC11 Eyewitness News to Participate in 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk Oct. 6

Raleigh, NC, September 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- ABC11 Eyewitness News (http://www.abc11.com) has announced that it will participate in the 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Oct. 6. Meteorologist Don “Big Weather” Schwenneker will help emcee the event and will lead the ABC11 team of participants. The event, which supports the American Cancer Society, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at North Hills Mall located at 110 Main Street in Raleigh. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a noncompetitive 5k walk in which community members unite to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about prevention, and raise money for research and patient services. Since 1993, eight million participants from across the United States have raised more than $460 million for the American Cancer Society at Making Strides events.
