Denver Attorney Publishes Definitive “Playbook” on Civil Motions

Colorado Civil Motions Practice (Bradford Publishing Company, 2012) includes a wealth of information on all civil motions from pre-trial to post-trial, including motions filed at the commencement of litigation, motions related to pre-trial procedure, motions related to trial procedure, motions relating to judgments, and post-judgment motions.
“My goal was to write a practical guide on motions for those who practice in Colorado courts,” said Liebman. “While a book such as this has to reference the Rules of Civil Procedure, my aim was to tease the motions out of the Rules, giving Colorado practitioners an arsenal of weapons that can be deployed based solely on their efficacy, rather than their order of placement in the Rules.” The book instructs attorneys on how to use motions to control and direct a case for the benefit of a client while avoiding some of the common pitfalls experienced during motions practice.
