Zco to Present “4G Meets the G-Man” at International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference
Hudson, NH, September 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Gary Mueller, Vice President of Business Development at Zco Corporation, one of the world’s largest developers of custom mobile applications, will be speaking at Innovation Theater during the 119th Annual International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in San Diego this September.
Mueller’s presentation, “4G meets the G-Man: The Use of Wireless Tablets, Smart Phones, and Multimedia Communications in Law Enforcement,” will give an in-depth look at the use of wireless devices for law enforcement officers. Attendees will learn how access to real-time data can help a department improve both response time and critical actions on 911 calls.
The primary software application in the presentation, PolicePad, runs on Apple iPad tablets. Mueller will demonstrate how formatting essential dispatch and communication data for a mobile device can be cost effective and help departments become more efficient.
The presentation will feature video segments and demonstrations of real-world scenarios. Also participating will be members of the Lowell, Massachusetts, police department, who have been pioneering the use of these mobile technologies in their city. The collaboration between Zco and the LPD has provided not only a proving ground for software in the field but also valuable feedback for custom developers at Zco, who have been able to modify the software quickly to better meet the needs of officers on the ground.
After the Innovation Theater presentation, Mueller and other Zco Corporation representatives will offer more information at booth 2004. At 3pm, PolicePad and other mobile technologies will be demonstrated. Attendees of this booth presentation will have the chance to put in a second entree for a chance to win a free week’s stay at the Zco corporate retreat in Maui, Hawaii.
The IACP conference is an annual event. The conference brings police officers together and features guest speakers, workshops and forums. It provides a place for officers to network with fellow public safety professionals. IACP also has the largest exhibit hall of products and services in the country, with vendors from many companies showcasing their products and services.
According to IACP, the Innovation Theater is designed to provide cutting-edge information about the latest products and processes available to law enforcement officials. Each presentation is about 20 minutes long. The theater itself is on the trade show floor, set apart with comfortable seating and a stage.
Mueller’s presentation is on Sunday, September 30 at 2:00pm.
