Creta Maris Green Team European Day Without a Car

Hersonissos, Crete, Greece, September 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The invitation was open to those who wished to take part in this symbolic bicycle race, which was a great success, given the significant involvement of clients and staff of the hotel. The route followed (total 12km distance) was the following: Creta Maris Beach Resort, then following the highway up to the junction of Kastelli, going up to Upper Hersonissos, passing through Piskopiano and Koutouloufari villages, going down to Hersonissos Centre, cycling through Hersonissos Costal Road, and ending at Creta Maris Beach Resort.

The cycling, entitled "Go Green”, was part of the environmental actions of Creta Maris Beach Resort, the sixth organized for this year. An extremely significant number of guests and employees participated in this event, making it a huge success.

The Green Team’s mission is to support the Region of Crete, the Region of Heraklion and Heraklion Regional Municipalities by contributing towards activities related to environmental protection, such as cleaning public areas, beaches, planting trees etc.
