Signalfire Appointed as Agency of Record for Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center in Door County, Wis.
Delavan, WI, September 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) recently selected Signalfire as its agency of record (AoR) effective September 1, 2012. Signalfire is a full service digital marketing and branding agency, located in Delavan, Wis., and will coordinate the marketing program for SBVC, including their several hundred-page website, email newsletter campaign, marketing content strategy, membership development, and 44-page annual tourist guidebook.
SBVC first hired Signalfire in 2006 due to the agency’s fresh approach to tourism marketing and their experience working with similar organizations. During SBVC’s recent contract review process, Signalfire once again was selected. “We won the contract after a vigorous competitive review process,” said Alison Rudig, Signalfire Project Coordinator. “We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with SBVC for the next three years. We’re very in-tune with their needs—including budget constraints—and Signalfire continually brings new ideas and opportunities to the table that make the most of every marketing dollar for SBVC.”
Additionally, “Every fall we orchestrate SBVC’s annual membership drive and start planning for their annual guidebook project,” stated Susan Geye, Signalfire’s Creative Operations Manager. “We’re always looking for ways to add even more value to SBVC’s membership programs, and bring more tourists to this unique and beautiful city at the gateway to Door County.”
As Agency of Record, Signalfire will continue to manage the website and email newsletter program, and assist SBVC staff as they increase their direct involvement and control over the growing social media platforms. Signalfire owner Matthew Olson commented on social media as an example of expanding SBVC’s progressive web marketing. “We recognized the value of social media to tourism marketing from the beginning, and saw its great potential for SBVC. They were definitely an early adopter to Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare, which has been hugely beneficial since tourism is now driven by online searches, bookings, and reviews. When we designed and built SBVC’s new website in 2009, we integrated social media features into the site, and they continue to perform beautifully as the site has grown by several hundred pages, and with the addition of a number of new interactive features like an online Community Calendar.”
Olson added, “We are thrilled to continue our relationship with SBVC, and look forward to assisting them with another exciting period of growth and success.”
