Eugene Police Department Adds Video interview Technology
MediaSolv Solutions, Corp. selected to implement video interview solution for Eugene Oregon Police Department.
Herndon, VA, September 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Eugene Oregon Police Department recently completed installation of video interview technology in various locations throughout their newly renovated Headquarters building. MediaSolv Solutions, Corp. was selected to design, install, and configure the system for Eugene. “We researched a number of companies and chose MediaSolv because of their proven industry experience, track record, reputation, and technology innovation,” said Matt Herbert, Detective in the Violent Crimes Unit and the project lead. “MediaSolv is far more capable and advanced than our former video recording system.”
Cameras and microphones were installed in twelve rooms across the facility, including interview rooms, Breathalyzer rooms, and holding cells. Tracer, MediaSolv’s Video Interview solution is used to record video and audio and allows approved users to watch live or recorded interviews anywhere on the network. Commander, MediaSolv’s Digital Evidence Management solution, manages all the interview files as evidence and provides effortless case management as well as seamless DVD burning and label printing using a robotic DVD burner. Touchscreen computers were installed outside interview rooms that will be used for criminal investigations. The touchscreen computers allow an officer to easily control the recording with a touch of button as they enter or leave the room. Additional information can also be added directly such as suspect name, case number, or other relevant information about the interview.
