Unveiling in São Paulo of Public Art by Nicole Mouracade on Show Until December

Pharand Art Contemporary's Nicole Mouracade accomplishes 5000-piece concrete installation in two months for the Trianon-MASP subway.

New York, NY, September 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Nicole Mouracade has pulled off the extraordinary feat of producing 5000 pieces of concrete in only two months for the "City of the Future." The art installation represents discarded barrels, the trademark symbol of the Lebanese painter and sculptress, in miniature and various stages of decay.

Mouracade who spoke at the Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) on 25 September, exhibited in 2000 at the Hôtel Drouot in Paris, is also known in Italy and the USA. Mouracade has her studio in Brazil and her work is part of important national public collections such as the Sao Paulo International Airport, Telefonica Brasil, the Banco Nacional in Rio de Janeiro, among others.

The public art installation titled "Tudo o que já foi, tudo o que é e tudo o que será", explores the themes of Natural History, Time, and Decay and is exhibited since 10 September until 3 December 2012, under a partnership between the MASP and the Metrô de São Paulo called Vitrines do Metrô.

The Trianon-MASP metro is located next to the Trianon Park and across from the MASP on Paulista Avenue. Nicole Mouracade is proudly represented by Pharand Art Contemporary in North America.
