Despite global financial challenges, giving should be fun, flexible and fulfilling: www.facebook.com/letsplaytenten

Lagos, Nigeria, October 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Let’s Play Ten-Ten is organizing a mini-launch event to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of Nigerian independence and its fast-growing participants in an open-air evenING on Thursday, the 10th of October, 2012 at the Palms Shopping Mall, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria by 6pm.

Fifehanmi Bankole, a Harvard-University-certified consultant who created this first crowd-funding savings-for-charity initiative tagged "Let’s Play Ten-Ten" will be hosting friends, "Ten-Ten" players and other attendees.

Let’s Play Ten-Ten is a crowd-funding, savings-for-charity initiative inspired by the original Ten-Ten game; the very popular hand-clapping game amongst children in Nigeria, particularly in the South Western region. (Ten-Ten is called some other names elsewhere). Playing Ten-Ten is simply getting an envelope and saving every N10 (and any denomination below) you come across in your purse/bag/pocket for the sole purpose of giving your Ten-Ten savings to charity. Let's Play Ten-Ten is on Facebook.

The Let’s Play Ten-Ten Network aims to organize a quarterly, open-air event where the collated Ten-Ten funds can be distributed amongst 10 pre-nominated charities/individuals in need.

Just imagine bag loads of N10 on the open-air event day.

This initiative aims to inspire at least 100,000 Nigerians to participate in the Let’s Play Ten-Ten game of savings-to-give. Fifehanmi says there are no rules, only guidelines as this charity-focused game is meant to be fun, flexible and fulfilling. No membership registration required, just a commitment to the cause. However, players who provide their contact details will be sent regular reminder/updates about the Let’s Play Ten-Ten Network while players who get other 9 players to play Ten-Ten with them, forming a local club, will qualify for a gift from the initiator.

Let’s Play Ten-Ten believes that in spite of global economic challenges, more people are willing to help others provided giving can be fun, flexible and fulfilling and since every society is largely made up of its middle class, it is instructive to note that when the energy and efforts of this critical mass is strategically deployed, great things can happen.
