David Boatright Brings His Industry Expertise to McAlister’s Deli

Ridgeland, MS, July 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Lots of people can talk the talk; it’s walking the walk that trips most people up. Thankfully, David Boatright is a master of both and has brought his talents to McAlister’s Deli as the new vice president of franchise sales.

Boatright is no stranger to the franchise world with nearly two decades of experience behind him. For the past two years, Boatright has served as the franchise development director for Huddle House, a diner chain with over 400 locations throughout the southeastern United States. Prior to his time with Huddle House, Boatright spent 17 years with TCBY, assuming various roles including operations manager; training manager; research and development project manager; and franchise development manager. With his new position at McAlister’s Deli, Boatright is ready to take the company to another level.

“McAlister’s has an amazing reputation and has all the right tools to make an even greater impact on the franchise community,” said Boatright. “I’m excited for the development opportunities ahead and expansion into some untapped markets.”

Patrick K. Walls, senior vice president of McAlister’s Deli, is equally enthusiastic about Boatright’s addition to the corporate team, saying Boatright had the background they needed to move the brand forward.

“We were looking for someone with a certain depth of experience and we found that in David,” said Walls. “He is the best person for the job and we’re eager to see what he can do.”

McAlister’s Deli is a quick/casual restaurant chain featuring efficient counter ordering, attentive table service and high-quality deli-style foods at a great price value. The menu includes a wide variety of sandwiches, spuds, soups, salads and desserts, as well as garden-fresh vegetarian selections, a children's menu, appetizers, and beverages. Items ranges from $3.99 to $6.49, with average per-person check of $7.20. The menu is designed around food products that do not have to be fried or cooked in grease fryers. In addition to dine-in and take-out service, McAlister's also offers casual catering, with a selection of deli and sandwich trays, vegetable, cheese and fruit trays, breakfast trays, box lunches and desserts.
