Award "BIO Kouzina" for Creta Maris Beach Resort
Creta Maris Beach Resort supporting its new philosophy ''Green Cretan All Inclusive'' and in the context of ecological consciousness, got awarded from the BIO HELLAS Institute.
Hersonissos, Crete, Greece, October 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Specifically the a la carte restaurant "Pithos" applying the food safety management system got awarded with the certification "BIO Kouzina" of raw materials. This recognition honors the hotel and encourages its members to continue their efforts for the preservation of their new philosophy.
"BIO HELLAS" was founded in 2001 and was approved by the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food as Inspection and Certification body for organic products. "BIO Kouzina" constitutes a private standard certification, created from BIO HELLAS in cooperation with specialists in the field of Food and Beverage, aiming the certification of massive catering companies that use Bio products.
A prerequisite for this medal is the strict compliance with all the criteria of standards of hygiene, food safety and adequate storage of raw materials. Additional criteria are the quality of frying oils, the methods of cleaning and disinfection, the appropriate staff training on the requirements of the standard "BIO Kouzina", the proper use of the term 'organic' and logo "BIO Kouzina" and finally the managing of customer complaints.
Creta Maris Beach Resort belongs to Metaxa’s Group of Companies and has been operating since 1975. It has a capacity of 675 rooms, suites and bungalows, 6 restaurants, 7 bars, 9 swimming pools, gym, spa, Asteria Children’s Club, and many places for outdoor and indoor activities for children and adults.
