Mechdyne Expanding Its Presence in the Middle East
Marshalltown, IA, October 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Mechdyne Corporation is expanding its presence in the Middle East by opening a new office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and hiring a new Business Development Associate for that region.
Hamdi Aslan is serving as Mechdyne’s new Business Development Associate for the Middle East region. Aslan, who grew up in the UAE, has an extensive background in technology and business development. With his high level of experience and expertise, Aslan is available to meet with organizations who would be interested in knowing more about how today’s technologies can enhance data, improve decision making, streamline everyday work flow, and deliver a positive return on investment.
Mechdyne’s new Middle East office is located in Abu Dhabi. However, the U.S. based company has already delivered a number of projects in that region of the world.
One of Mechdyne’s most notable Middle East projects to date is the region’s most technologically advanced university, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. Mechdyne served as design and engineering consultant for the Geometric Modeling and Scientific Visualization Research Center (GM&SVRC) at KAUST university complex. The GM&SVRC, which KAUST developed in collaboration with the University of California San Diego, demonstrates the university’s commitment to provide the world’s best tools for research into some of the most challenging questions in science and technology.
After a competitive bid process, Mechdyne was also selected to integrate visualization technology in the state-of-the art facility. Highlights of the facilities include seven collaborative environments supporting high-resolution, 3D stereoscopic imaging capability. Designed and engineered by Mechdyne, KAUST’s showcase system is the world’s brightest six-sided immersive room, providing students and researchers from around the world with unmatched capability to transform data sets into rich three-dimensional (3D) visual information.
After the project was complete, Mechdyne Global Technical Service Division was also selected to provide service and support for all the visualization and AV technologies on the 14 square mile campus.
