Sonardyne Debuts Underwater Positioning and Autonomous Monitoring Technologies at Sea Tech Week 2012
Yateley, United Kingdom, October 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sonardyne International Ltd. will be attending its first Sea Tech Week exhibition in Brest, France, taking place from 8th-12th October at the Congress Centre Le Quartz. Located on Stand 9, Sonardyne will be demonstrating Scout a portable acoustic positioning system designed for tracking divers, ROV and towfish in waters up to 1,000 metres. The system’s ease of use and high performance has earned Scout an enviable track record on a wide range of global projects.
Sonardyne will also be showcasing its range of autonomous monitoring technologies and acoustic release transponders. Designed for low-cost, long endurance subsea monitoring applications and recognised for their reliability, durability and long operating ranges, these instruments have become important components in the inventories of many scientific, defence and commercial organisations.
With more than 1,500 delegates expected to attend, the eighth bi-annual Sea Tech Week will focus on the traditional themes of coastal oceanography, underwater mapping and maritime safety whilst also devoting significant time to the exploration of marine renewable energy. The umbrella conference brings together a series of workshops and seminars, along with a trade fair where like-minded professionals have the opportunity to network and share knowledge. The technological sessions also allow the presentation of innovative new products and new collaborations.
“This is our first Sea Tech Week so we’re very much looking forward to sharing this experience with all our current and prospective clients in Brittany,” said Aude Kuchly, Sales Manager at Sonardyne. “As well as demonstrating our acoustic positioning capabilities and technologies for the oceanographic and mapping markets, we are also looking forward to meeting with exhibition attendees to discuss how Sonardyne can help them to fulfil the requirements of their upcoming projects.”
