Ballymoney, United Kingdom, July 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- www.ice-planet.tv, the unofficial fan site for the new TV series and Game Ice Planet, is pleased to announce the latest addition to their international team. Stefan Peter from Germany has now joined the innovative unofficial fan site for the forthcoming Spaceworks Entertainment produced TV series Ice Planet starring Michael Ironside.
The fan site was set up in May 2006 to track the production of the series and game and has gained the reputation of being the most up to date and reliable source of information outside of the Canadian television production company that is making the show.
Stefan joins the established team of Martin Grey and Alan Cornish, from England, Vincent Fox from Ireland and Jackie Fiest from Texas, USA, making www.ice-planet.tv a truly international venture.
Following the announcement that the talented German actor, Ralf Bauer was joining the cast of Ice Planet and that German TV station RTL2 were co-producing the show, the team at www.ice-planet.tv started to look for a German correspondent to compliment their English speaking staff.
“When we found out what a huge part Germany was playing in the series” reports editor Vincent Fox, “we knew we had to recruit a German speaker to help us stay ahead of the game. Stefan Peter was the right man in the right place at the right time. We are very fortunate that he has agreed to join us”.
Ice Planet was originally made as a pilot starring Wes Studi in 2001 but the series was not picked up. In 2006, Spaceworks Entertainment, a Canadian TV production company, whose previous series include Starhunter, announced that they would be making the series and video game and that Canadian actor Michael Ironside would take on the role already played by Wes Studi.
The series and game are due to premiere in Canada, Europe and the USA in 2008.
