About Emerald Technology Partners: The visionary company in the world of mobile refrigeration technology is committed to developing products that will help lower the dependence of fossil fuels and the costs associated with using fuels, both economically and environmentally. We are determined to find ways to reduce the “carbon footprint” of companies around the world thereby leaving a better place for our future. http://www.wed-way.com.
The Wedway™ Refrigeration Power System provides power to operate a refrigerator or freezer unit on a refrigerated or “reefer” semi-trailer heavy-truck perishable transport, while eliminating the dedicated fuel system, by capturing the kinetic energy from the rotation of the trailer wheels and converting it to a power source for refrigeration.
This same technology allows the power to be stored for use while the trailer is stationary 12-24 hours. During an extended delivery the unit is able to be “plugged” into the store allowing it to be powered from the store and be fully charged upon departure, reducing the “carbon footprint” of each delivery. With a Wedway™ Refrigeration Power System equipped refrigeration unit, the cost of operation is lowered by removing the dedicated fuel system, lowering its overall weight and allowing for more cargo weight. It is estimated that domestically the savings will reach into the tens of billions of dollars annually with the majority of refrigerated trucks using the Wedway™ Refrigeration Power System. In addition to the cost savings, the use of the Wedway™ Refrigeration Power System is estimated to reduce over 63 Billion pounds of carbon emissions per year in the United States alone. Both of these savings will be realized for the owner/operator and across company fleets.
