Russell Fishing Company Drops Prices While Adding New Partners, People and Services

Russell Fishing, a full service outfitter in Alaska and Oregon is showing how much they are “in tune” with consumer needs in today’s economy.

Kenai, AK, October 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Despite some of the challenges Mother Nature created, Russell Fishing had a successful 2012 season. However, Russell is sensitive to what Alaska Vacationers are looking for i.e. the best value in an Alaskan Vacation. In light of that, Russell has reduced the prices on many of its packages while freezing prices on the others. In addition, they are offering “early bird incentives” for early bookings. The details are on the Russell Fishing Company website.

With these incentives, and the additional manpower and service, 2013 looks to be equally successful as they plan ahead. One major positive change is the addition of two new lodging partners. The first new partner is Denise Lake Lodge, a beautiful lodge and cabins located on the shores of Denise Lake right in Soldotna. This lodge will offer a bed and breakfast alternative to their primary partner for lodging, Alaska Hooksetters Lodge, whose packages are all inclusive. Alaska Hook setters have also improved their facility with the addition of a gorgeous and functional Gazebo fire pit. The second new lodging option is Kenai River Lodge, on the banks of the famous Kenai River right in the heart of Soldotna. Kenai River Lodge provides lodging only, for those visitors who are more budget conscious or want to prepare their own meals. These three lodging options along with a diversity of fishing choices allows Russell to have package deals that will appeal to all budgets and adventure needs.

Russell Fishing Company is making manpower additions as well. They have hired another Kenai guide, Dane Gores, who worked on the company’s halibut boat, the “Badger,” for Dustin Russell as a teen. Dane will guide both rivers and train as a halibut captain. The company also has an agreement with John Clement to handle some of the Halibut "doubles" during peak season... John has several years experience as a halibut captain in Cook Inlet, even running the Badger several times. Bill Russell "Pops" will have the additional responsibility of guide and equipment manager, taking some of the day to day responsibilities from Dustin. Other experienced Kenai guides, Chris Carson, Brian Curry and Glenn “Cap’s Gilz” are returning in 2013 as well.

Another great “perk” for Russell Guests is Russell’s working agreement with an Anchorage rental car company that offers significant discounts for Russell customers Finally, Russell Fishing is upgrading their equipment and has acquired another power boat adding to their already well’-stocked fleet. New Ambassador salmon reels, Avert halibut reels, G Loomis rods, and Sage/Redington fly outfits, are already on order for 2013. Russell packages include all equipment, bait, tackle, chest waders and rain gear. Their guests can pack light and rest assured that everything will be taken care of.

Russell Fishing Company is poised to cater to all their customer needs for 2013 and beyond.
