HABcore, Inc. Held 15th Annual Gala
HABcore, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides housing for the homeless, held its 15th annual fall gala, Showboat on the Shrewsbury, at McLoone’s Rum Runner in Sea Bright. Distinguished guests include New Jersey State Senator Jennifer Beck and Red Bank Mayor Pasquale Menna.
Red Bank, NJ, October 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- HABcore, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides housing for the homeless, held its 15th annual fall gala, Showboat on the Shrewsbury, at McLoone’s Rum Runner in Sea Bright. Tim McLoone & the Shirleys and Christina Penatello and Ken Hanson of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Red Bank provided the entertainment.
Over 130 guests were in attendance this year, consisting of board members, HABcore supporters, local politicians, and newcomers being introduced to the organization. With the help of a silent and live auction and 50/50 raffle, HABcore was able to increase the net revenue by 10% over what was raised last year. All of the event proceeds are put towards HABcore’s efforts to help the homeless.
“Showboat on the Shrewsbury was a huge success! This year we honored Red Bank Mayor Pasquale Menna and the event’s honorary chair was New Jersey State Senator Jennifer Beck; having the support of the local legislative offices is invaluable to our organization,” remarked Marilyn Pearlman, Board President.
Executive Director Steve Heisman added, “We are always trying to raise awareness about the issue of homelessness in our area. With more than a third of the guests in attendance being new to our organization, this year’s event did just that and we hope to build upon its success going into our 25th year.”
