Artist Entrepreneurship Program “From “Starving to Striving” The Business Side of Art Announces 4th Quarter Workshop Series

Monday, October 8th – Monday, November 12 5:30 – 9:30 PM. After a well-received launch in January 2012, “From Starving to Striving” The Business Side of Art, a local program that focuses on developing the business skills of artists announces its final series of workshops. The program once again will present an impressive list of speakers and grant funds.

Delray Beach, FL, October 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- After a well-received launch in January 2012, “From Starving to Striving” The Business Side of Art, a local program that focuses on developing the business skills of artists announces its final series of workshops. The program once again will present an impressive list of speakers who will provide both the industry and talent perspective.

In order to better accommodate the participants, The 4th Quarter workshop series schedule has been adjusted to begin on Monday, October 15th and run for 5 consecutive weeks concluding on Monday, November 12th, 2012. 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

“We are proud that we have had 18 participants graduate from the program to date. Graduates represented various artistic disciplines including: performance artists, visual artists, authors, actors, models, photographers, graphic designers and storytellers. $6,000 in grant funds has been awarded so far this year with another $2000 in the budget for the final series,” said Annette Gray, President of the Global Business Development Center.

The speaker list continues to grow to include some of the entertainment industry’s finest artist and stake holders. These professional artists and industry professionals have come on board to share not just their knowledge but their industry contacts with the program participants.

They have had an amazing list of speakers so far this year and they are lining up an equally impressive list for the final session.

The program’s foundation provides a platform where artists can learn, implement and replicate information garnered in the class room from an impressive list of guest speakers comprised of internationally successful artists and industry professionals from varied backgrounds.

“From Starving to Striving” The Business Side of Art is an entrepreneurship program for artists with a focused curriculum designed to assist individual artists of all disciplines (visual, musicians, writers, media, theater, performing arts and culinary) in expanding their foundation, strengthening their business skills, both in/out of the classroom.

A comprehensive supportive infrastructure assists both the fledgling and experienced artist with the demands of business start-up models or business expansion challenges. The workshops teach artists to shatter the myth of the starving artist and excel at personal advancement in creating a thriving business. Participants receive in classroom and real world resources, as well as one-on-one executive coaching.

The fourth quarter classes begin on Monday, October 15th and end on Monday, November 12th from 5:30 pm to 9:30 p.m. They are held at the Global Business Development Center at 14000 Military Trail, in Suite #112 in Delray Beach. The workshops and business coaching sessions are free with a registration fee of $75. (This includes a light dinner).
