Elsie, OR, October 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Betsy Johnson dedicates 40kw generator in Coast Range
The long awaited power source for emergencies at Elsie- Vinemaple Rural Fire Protection District will be dedicated by State Senator Betsy Johnson at noon on Saturday, October 20th at Station One, 42644 Loyd Lane, Elsie. Her hard work and perseverance will be remembered every snowy, windy, icy day that EVRFPD relies on the large computerized generator to keep engine blocks warm and ready to meet emergencies. Ceremonies will be conducted during the first annual Neighborhood Sale and Craft Fair held in the fire department’s 3 bay fire engine garage. Also in attendance will be Clatsop County Commissioner Debra Birkby, Dean Perez, Director of Human Resources and Emergency Management for Clatsop County, Tom Manning, Emergency Management Coordinator. Had it not been for their committed and nimble response to Senator Johnson’s request for help, we would not have secured the badly needed generator for Elsie.
