Fine Designer Crafts Show to Feature North Carolina Artist’s Contemporary Jewelry
Artist Originally From South America to Display Work at Annual Crafts Show Hosted by The Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild
Raleigh, NC, October 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild (http://www.carolinadesignercraftsmen.com) has announced that Roberto Vengoechea, a self-taught designer and sculptor originally from Colombia, South America, will be a featured artist at the 43rd Annual Fine Designer Crafts Show at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, N.C. The show will take place beginning Friday, Nov. 23 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 25. Vengoechea, who has been a guild member for many years, will display contemporary fine jewelry.
With 40 years of experience inspiring him, Vengoechea creates sophisticated and contemporary fine jewelry, hand fabricated and cast. These unusual square, geometric and architectural shapes defy the conventional and push the boundaries of “thinking outside the box.”
Vengoechea focuses on making timeless pieces with sterling silver, high karat gold and accented precious and semiprecious gemstones and diamonds. He describes his work as reflecting a futuristic quality that is reserved for the mind of those looking for the unusual. Vengoechea resides in Black Mountain, N.C., where he and his wife, June, own Visions of Creation Gallery, where most of his work is limited edition and commissioned work is one-of-a-kind.
Quotes:
