Racing for Children Grand Prix and Family Fun Fest - Free Family Event at Reliant Park

Houston, TX, July 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The 11th annual Racing for Children Grand Prix and Family Fun Fest benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Houston/ Galveston, Inc. is scheduled for the weekend of September 15 & 16th, 2007 at Reliant Park.

Come and see one of the best up-and-coming events in Houston to begin the fall festival season. The event is produced by USA Promotions of Texas, LLC. Included in the Racing for Children Grand Prix and Family Fun Fest are the following activity zones:

• Racer’s Village where racing teams meet and prepare for the race, professional race cars are on exhibit and kids race each other in kid-powered PlasmaCars.
• Active Kid Zone filled with inflatables, carnival games and sports-minded activities.
• Creative Arts Village featuring crafts and projects such as spin art, balloon making and face painting by Bootsie the Clown and Creative Workshops where kids can work on many fun projects
• Health and Safety Zone which will recognize all of the important programs available for the health and well being of children, which is the focus of RMHC of Houston/Galveston. One of RMHC’s major programs, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®, will be available for tours.
• Also, photo opportunities in front of the famous Ronald McDonald Shoe Car®, and appearances by with Ronald McDonald, Grimace, and Hamburglar who will also be stopping by to meet racing fans.

This year’s free family event brings Houstonians a new level of excitement from the thrilling world of racing. On Saturday, teams will be racing to qualify, and Sunday the teams will be competing for the first place trophy. The race will be officiated by USA Charity Racing; America’s only sanctioned racing organization dedicated to supporting charity style-race car events.

The Racing for Children Grand Prix supports Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Houston/Galveston, Inc. dedicated to improving the health and well being of children in Houston and Galveston. RMHC does this by creating, finding or supporting various local programs, including:
