DFW American Marketing Association Chapter Wins Accolades in National Competition
DFW chapter takes home two national awards from the American Marketing Association.
Dallas, TX, October 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The DFW American Marketing Association (DFW AMA) Chapter announced today that it has received a 2011-12 Excellence Award from the organization’s international headquarters. The AMA’s annual Chapter Excellence Awards program highlights exceptional performance among the organization’s 77 professional chapters across the U.S. and Canada. The DFW AMA was recognized for Overall Excellence in Leadership and received a Special Merit award for Programming.
“I'm thrilled that we have been recognized with this honor,” said DFW AMA 2011-12 Chapter President Andrea Lamarsaude. “It is our job to provide excellent programming and networking opportunities for our members and guests to elevate the prestige and credibility of the marketing profession in our area. As both an Excellence and Special Merit winner, we feel great responsibility, not only to our own members, but to the DFW marketing community as a whole.”
The DFW AMA strives to be the premiere marketing community delivering excellent practices and resources that develop professionals and grow organizations. The DFW AMA had an impressive 2011-12 chapter year, undertaking multiple major initiatives including restarting its Marketer of the Year awards program as well launching significant new website and technology platforms. They were also recognized for stellar sponsorship performance and varied programming, with exemplary attendance and satisfaction scores.
"With 15 dedicated board members and 135 volunteers, we have been able to accomplish some incredible things together,” commented Janet Overton, 2012-13 Chapter President for the DFW AMA Chapter. “It is very fulfilling to be a part of such a well established and well respected marketing organization like the AMA.”
