Australian T-Shirt Company Launches Peace Campaign

Sydney, Australia, July 11, 2007 --(PR.com)-- A new Australian t-shirt company, The Share Peace Initiative, is promoting peace through the sale of designer t-shirts. The company's policy is to contribute a proportion of all proceeds from t-shirt sales to organisations supporting peace initiatives around the world.

On July 06, 2007, the Share Peace Initiative made its first donation to Kiva, which empowers entrepreneurs in developing countries through micro-loans. This was made possible through sales of the company's unisex 'Electro Evolution' t-shirts, their debut offering designed to appeal to electronic music fans.

“We are very excited by the prospect of making our company vision a reality,” said Jacob Sikais, CEO of the Share Peace Initiative. “With the tremendous popularity of electronic music and the vibrant and quirky fashion sense of its devotees, our first design was an ideal starting point from which to initiate our contribution to peace-supporting causes we believe in."

The Share Peace Initiative plans to release a new t-shirt design each month, with the aim being to develop a unique, cutting edge fashion profile.

Initial reviews of the 'Electro Evolution' design have been promising, with international DJ's The Loose Cannons, DJ Vadim and DJ Haze expressing keen interest in showcasing the design and helping raise awareness in the community.

With the word 'war' now a buzz word thrown about daily by the media - 'the war on terrorism', 'the war in Iraq', 'the war on drugs' etc - perhaps it is time for a good news story in which 'peace' is the buzz word. The Share Peace Initiative certainly believes so, and is committed to being part of the story. Visit their website at www.share-peace.com.
