Change in Venue for Miss American Vintage Pageant for Historical Preservation

The venue of the Miss American Vintage Pageant has changed due to renovations at the Dezerland Beach Hotel and Spa.

Miami, FL, October 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Due to renovations and change in ownership at the Dezerland Beach Hotel and Spa, the Miss American Vintage pageant has moved temporarily near the Buena Vista neighborhood. Although Mr. Piramid liked the unique setting with the classic midcentury cars at the Dezerland, he also appreciates the effort of the hotel in renovating its structure. “This why preservation of our community is important.” Mr. Piramid encourages all to become members of the Miami Design Preservation League, the oldest Art Deco society in the world. He encourages the next Miss American Vintage to advocate for historical preservation.

The event has moved near the Buena Vista neighborhood, the oldest neighborhood north of the Design District. It was built in 1890 and its growth paralleled Miami. The pageant will continue to celebrate natural beauty in a classic setting. The judging will take place every Saturday at 4pm. Confirmed judges include Maxine Victor, Co-Founder of Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week; Esther Dollar, the present Ms. Latina International and Staci Lyon, signed Wilhemina model.

The winner will be awarded prizes such as media exposure, publicity, live photo shoots, and participation in special events such as the Art Deco Vintage Fashion Week. She will participate in a pop-up fashion show and fashion photo shoot at Art Basel. She will receive advice from influential figures in fashion. To top it off, the winner will also receive a swimsuit from Cia.Maritima's 2013 collection by Benny Rosset valued in more than $350. She will also receive contracts with fashion designers in Miami.
