Cary Innovation Center Hosts BOOM! IdeaSlam® on Wednesday, Oct. 17
Organization Invites “Boomerpreneurs” to Share Business Ideas and Expertise in Conjunction with BOOM! Magazine.
Cary, NC, October 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Cary Innovation Center (http://caryinnovationcenter.org), a local organization dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs by offering professional mentoring and business education programs, has announced it will host its BOOM! IdeaSlam® on Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the center’s office at 201 W. Chatham St. Suite 202. This version of the center’s IdeaSlam is hosted by BOOM! Magazine, a 50-plus lifestyle publication targeted to today’s active baby boomers. Betsy Dassau, founder of the Cary Creative Center, will be the featured speaker.
“Boomerpreneurs” at the event will share their business ideas in an open and honest setting, receive constructive feedback from Cary Innovation Center facilitators and have the opportunity to network with other participants. In addition to encouraging baby boomers to pursue new business ventures, the IdeaSlam will function as a gateway into the Center’s Ideation program, which helps entrepreneurs structure and communicate their business plans, as well as transform raw ideas into refined strategies that can be evaluated and assessed. Specifically, Ideation involves identifying an opportunity, an offering, a target market and a plan for generating profits. Each attendee will receive a $25 gift certificate for a follow-up class.
The first ten registrants for the BOOM! IdeaSlam will receive free admission. To register online, visit http://ideaslam-boom-2012.eventbrite.com/. For more information about the IdeaSlam, visit http://caryinnovationcenter.org/ideaslam-event/.
