London Website Reports Record Tourism Figures
In spite of the recent security incidents and increased alert status in London during the past ten days a top London website has reported its highest week of tourist bookings ever.
London, United Kingdom, July 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Allinlondon.co.uk has seen bookings in its restaurant, hotel and theatre ticket channels rise to their highest ever levels suggesting that London visitors remain undaunted by recent terror threats. Last week company bosses saw visits in the website’s restaurant channel increase by 30% over the previous week; similarly ticket channel traffic rose by 20% and hotel bookings enjoyed an increase of more than 35% over the previous week.
Staff at the website, who live and work in London, were also able to report no significant changes in the mood of the city despite the recent attack outside Tiger Tiger bar in London’s West End; in fact conversely, the venue has risen to the top of allinlondon.co.uk’s “most popular bars” rankings.
The past week has been one of the busiest weeks for events in the capital’s calendar, hosting events including: the Harry Potter Film Premiere, the Hairspray Film Premiere, the Tour de France, Wimbledon Tennis, London City Airport Open Day and Live Earth events which attracted swarms of visitors into central London, yet attendance at all of these events equaled if not surpassed projections giving further indications that London refuses to give in to the spectre of terror.
