Danger abounds, and Unee the Unicorn must make quick decisions when he finds himself trapped in a maze and must beat the creature whom lives there. This first book in a series of fantastic adventure tales, Unee the Unicorn takes young readers on a thrilling adventure as he travels to meet his friends, the Mythfitz.
Orlando, FL, October 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- What do you get when you cross a cryptozoologist’s imagination with the timeless storytelling themes and modern sensibilities? The Mythfitz.
Author, Nicholas Julius vividly portrays the mythical, magical world of Mythatania and the wondrous creatures that inhabit it in Unee the Unicorn, the first in his fiction series, The Mythfitz. The book, geared toward young readers and fantasy fans, is published by Parker, Colorado-based self-publishing giant, Outskirts Press.
Unee the Unicorn follows the title character, Unee, who finds himself trapped in a harrowing maze. However, before he can free himself, he must first thwart the creature that lives there so he can continue on to meet his friends, the Mythfitz.
Unee the Unicorn is just the beginning of an epic journey. Each book in the series will follow the adventures of one Mythfit: level-headed Pegora the Pegasus, happy-go-lucky Frost the Yeti, a prissy, mischievous Sasquatch named Salandra, and then Scottish siblings Erin and Owen MacDonald are thrown into the fray, when they are swallowed by Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster herself after being swept from their Da’s tour boat during a storm. Along the way, the band of fabled friends encounter numerous creatures as well as dangers as they try to retrieve the famed Golden Unicorn Horn from the fearsome creature, NOGARD ECI. All this whilst Erin and Owen try to find their way home, of course.
The Mythfitz balances the irreverent charm of Shrek with the thrilling fantasy of epics such as Lord of the Rings. The literature and illustrations are lavish, replete with sharp humor, epic moments, rich characters and heart-warming – and heart-stopping – moments.
The Mythfitz characters from the books correspond with the same characters from the full length, animation/live action, award-winning screenplay of the same name.
