SMEI Vietnam Conducts Courses on Social Media Marketing
As more and more companies in Vietnam become aware of the social media revolution, the demand for professional training in social media marketing is on the rise. SMEI Vietnam, the representative of Sales and Marketing Executives International Inc. in Vietnam, is organizing a brief course called “Social Media Marketing Overview” on a monthly basis, offering the latest insights and best practices on social platforms that are currently popular in Vietnam such as Facebook and LinkedIN.
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, October 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- According to a recent report by Socialbakers, there are 7.6 million Facebook users in Vietnam (9th in Asia and 27th in the world). LinkedIN has also become a popular platform in Vietnam for recruitment and B2B marketing with many local groups and formed, carrying out various networking and business activities. The course, now delievered by Chau Nguyen, CME, CSE also stresses the significance of content marketing and community management, as well as the integration of social platforms like Facebook, LinkedIN, Twitter (not very popular in Vietnam), Youtube, Flickr, Blogs (Wordpress, Tumblr), and forums, etc.
After two runs in September and October, “Social Media Marketing Overview” by SMEI Vietnam has attracted participants of various backgrounds, namely marketing managers, brand managers, marketing officers, web developers, SMEs owners, and PR professionals. The next class is scheduled for October 29, 2012.
According to Dr Vo Thi Quy, CME, SMEI Vietnam Director of Academic Programs, Social Media Marketing Overview is a way for SMEI Vietnam to reach out to the marketing community in Vietnam by sharing new knowledge and best practices worldwide at an affordable fee (VND199,000) since one of the founding principles of SMEI global is “Knowledge sharing”. SMEI Vietnam has also launched a 6-session course offering a closer look at the role of a social media planner/strategist and practical tools for running a cost-effective social media campaign. First intake of this course is set to commence on October 20, 2012.
