Citizen Pictures Promotes
Denver, CO, October 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Citizen Pictures is growing and Frank Matson, President and CEO of Citizen is excited to announce four promotions within the company: Kat Higgins, Tim McOsker, Josh Dirmish, and Dustin Astrom have all become an even larger part of Citizen’s culture of innovation and excellence.
As the Series Producer of Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Kat Higgins has been instrumental in maintaining the popularity of one of the network's highest rated series. This year marks her 5th year with the series and she was recently promoted to Executive Producer at Citizen. Kat will lead content production and special programming endeavors, especially those with celebrity chef and TV host, Guy Fieri.
Tim McOsker, a six year veteran of Citizen’s Original Content Division, has been an Executive Producer on the series Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin, FoodCrafters and Simply Delicioso as well as countless other specials. Tim will continue to EP specials and series for Citizen in addition to leading the development of new series for various networks.
Josh Dirmish arrived at Citizen in 2007 with a long resume as Post Production Manager for networks like Animal Planet, Encore, Discovery Channel and Food Network. He manages all staff and equipment for Citizen’s Digital Production Center and Studio, as well as events. In his new role as Operations Manager, Josh will manage the needs of the facility at large as well as work to improve all phases of production.
As VP of Finance for Citizen, Dustin Astrom heads up finance, accounting, treasury, HR, legal and business affairs. Dustin began his career in retail and business management, but his ability to meld the creative world with the business world guided him to join Citizen in 2006.
Citizen has been busy developing new content and relationships. Production recently wrapped on the unique and wildly entertaining 1-hour Food Network special, Guy’s Family Reunion, scheduled to air November 11. Next month, Citizen will film Big Game Day, another Food Network special with celebrity chef and host Guy Fieri, airing before the Super Bowl. A new relationship has sparked with Discovery’s Destination America, with a 1-hour BBQ competition pilot which will begin production soon. In Los Angeles, Giada at Home just began production on a new season for Food Network and two Giada in Paradise specials - Monte Carlo and Thailand, are being filmed this year. Citizen proudly completed a summer of work profiling athletes for the Team USA YouTube Channel leading up to the 2012 summer games. Last but certainly not least, Citizen is excited to announce the October 23rd theater release of The Levi Effect, a documentary about professional cyclist Levi Leipheimer. This production has been 2 years in the making and is a Bike Monkey film, produced by Citizen, in association with Daydreamer Cinema.
