Athletic Director Wins Ford Mustang at Charity Golf Outing Sponsored by Vancouver Ford Dealer

On the morning of Saturday, September 22, golfers teed off at the Sixth Annual Tom Wallenborn Golf Classic at Camas Meadows Golf Club. Proceeds from the charity golf outing benefit the Camas Athletics Booster Club, a non-profit volunteer effort formed in 2001 that supports local athletic programs in the community. Camas Meadows Golf Club is the home course of the Camas High School Papermakers golf team.

Westlie Ford supported the golf classic and Camas School District Athletics by sponsoring a hole-in-one prize on the course’s second hole. Middle School Athletic Director Bob Foster scored an ace and received a Ford Mustang donated by the dealership.

The Tom Wallenborn Golf Classic started in 2007 and has become an increasingly popular fundraising event over the years. It is named after Camas High School graduate and Camas Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Tom Wallenborn. In addition to a day on the links, the event includes live and silent auctions, longest and straightest drive competitions, a putting contest, award ceremonies and a BBQ lunch.
