Fear City Chicago Haunted House Running New Facebook Video Contest

One of Chicago’s most popular haunted house attractions is encouraging all Halloween enthusiasts to create their own videos to scare their friends. Those submitting an entry will get a chance to win free tickets to Fear City and other great prizes when entering their original video into the Fear City Chicago’s “Scare the @#%! Out Of your Friends!” contest.

Chicago, IL, October 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Encouraging more people to get into the Halloween spirit and let their creative juices flow, Fear City Chicago has created a new video contest. The instructions provided say to send Fear City Chicago a video of up to and not exceeding two minutes (120 seconds) in length. The object of the video is to document the most creative and novel method of terrifying friends and family.

The winner will be chosen by ‘Likes’ on the Fear City Haunted House Facebook page in accordance with the social networking site’s rules regarding contests. Prize eligibility is as follows: Only persons residing in Illinois who are at least 13 years of age can enter. The contest starts on October 15, 2012 at 10:00 am (CDT) and concludes on October 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm (CDT). A full set of the Rules and Regulations governing this contest are found on the Facebook page “Fear City Haunted House” where submissions will be taken until the conclusion of the contest on October 21, 2012.

The Grand Prize for this contest includes: One (1) Monster Energy Drink T-Shirt
One (1) Monster Energy Drink Baseball Cap, One (1) Monster Energy Drink Calendar, One (1) $25 Gift Card to Culver’s, Two (2) Tickets to Hades Haunted House. A second prize consists of: One (1) Monster Energy Drink Hoodie and One (1) Hades Haunted House Ticket.

Tickets to Fear City and Hades Haunted House are on sale now and can be purchased online by visiting www.fearcitychicago.com. Prices are $25 per haunted attraction or $35 for a ticket to both haunts on the same visit. There is a $10 VIP Fast Pass option, which allows rush entry and is free to those showing a valid US Military ID. Fear City is ADA accessible, 100 percent indoors (including the waiting area) and parking is free. Hours of operation are 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7:30 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. A portion of all ticket sales from both Fear City and Hades will benefit the National MS Society of Greater Illinois.
