“Separation Anxiety” Seminar Will be Led By Attorneys Melanie Friend and Katherine Gray
Richmond, VA, October 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Melanie Friend and Katherine Gray, family law attorneys at CowanGates, will conduct a one-hour seminar at the Holiday Inn Koger Conference Center on Friday October 26, 2012 at 12:30 pm. The seminar, titled “Separation Anxiety,” will discuss important legal issues involved with the divorce process.

Melanie Friend, a partner at CowanGates, focuses her practice on divorce, alimony, child custody and visitation, adoption and prenuptial agreements. She is qualified as a Guardian Ad Litem for children. Melanie joined CowanGates in 2007 after completing a clerkship for the Honorable Timothy E. Meredith, of the Top Lawyers Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Melanie obtained her law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary, where she was a member of the Moot Court Team and earned Honors for excellence in research, writing and client relations.
Katherine G. Gray, an associate with CowanGates, is a member of the firm’s Family Law Team. Her practice focuses on divorce, child custody and visitation, adoption and prenuptial agreements. Katherine is a certified Guardian Ad Litem for children and for incapacitated adults. In 2004, Katherine graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary, where she served on the William & Mary Law Review and was a member of the executive board of the Public Service Fund.
