Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to Host Televised Poker Pro Championship High Stakes Events
Dover, DE, October 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, in association with Poker Pro Championships will host three nationally televised high stakes poker tournaments in the Crown Royal Poker Room in October and November. With millions of dollars in prize pools, the tournaments will draw professional and amateur players from across the country.
Fifteen episodes of high stakes cash games will be aired consisting of top poker professionals and amateurs. Three episodes will be high buy-in final tables and two episodes of a high stakes, heads-up cash game between two world-class poker professionals. Episodes will air nationally on Comcast SportsNet in the first quarter of 2013.
The first event begins with single-table satellites Oct. 26 - 31 and a multi-table satellite on Nov. 1 with a buy in of $375, culminating in no limit hold’em finals on Nov. 2, 3, 4 & 5 with a buy in of $3,500.
The second event begins with single-table satellites on Nov. 6 & 7 and a multi-table satellite on Nov. 8 with a buy in of $375, culminating in no limit hold’em finals on Nov. 9, 10, 11 & 12 with a buy in of $3,500.
The third event begins with single table satellites on Nov. 13 & 14 and a multi-table satellite on Nov. 15 with a buy in of $1,050, culminating in no limit hold’em finals from Nov. 16 through Nov. 19 with a buy in of $10,000.
A heads-up match cash game will be held on Nov. 14 with a $100,000 buy in and a six-handed match on Nov. 15 with a $50,000 buy in.
