Hunt Valley, MD, October 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Long® Fence, one of the largest residential and commercial fencing contractors on the East Coast, is a diamond level sponsor of the 20th annual Komen Maryland Race for the Cure® with their donation of temporary fencing to protect and separate pedestrian spectators and participants during the event on October 21, 2012 in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Long® Fence barricades will be used to guide race participants to registration booths, close off streets, safely control crowds and define areas of special interest. A record-breaking 33,000 runners and walkers participated and over $3 million was raised in 2011 for the fight against breast cancer. Long® Fence is proud to be a sponsor of Maryland’s largest foot race and largest non-profit fundraising event.

Temporary Fencing Barricades Provide Pedestrian Safety

Long® Fence barricades can be used for public events, grand openings, festivals, concerts, parades, organized demonstrations or any other type of outdoor assembly where a controlled environment is paramount for pedestrian safety. Long® Fence rental fence service includes delivery, set-up and removal of these freestanding, galvanized steel panels.

“We’re glad we can provide pedestrian barricades for the Komen Race,” said Mike Ritter, Jr., vice president and manager of the Long® Fence office in Odenton, Maryland. “With a crowd of over 30,000 participants and spectators, pedestrian safety and control is paramount and we are proud we can contribute to this worthy cause.”
