Inaugural Golf Outing Scores Big for North Jersey Foundation
Care Plus Foundation of Paramus, New Jersey raised close to $70,000 in their inaugural golf outing held at White Beeches Golf & Country Club on October 15th. Funds will go to support mental health services of Care Plus NJ, Inc.
Paramus, NJ, October 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Threatening weather forecasts didn’t stop the 100 guests who attended the Care Plus Foundation inaugural golf outing at White Beeches Golf & Country Club in Haworth on October 15th. The foundation raised just under $70,000 to support the services of Care Plus NJ, Inc., a Paramus-based mental health care organization.
The event was sponsored by major Bergen County area and national businesses including Columbia Bank, Inserra Supermarkets, HP, Roy W. Walters & Associates, the Fatigati Family, Sasco Insurance Services, Accredited Lock, IGI Health, and Eisner Amper.
Attendees enjoyed a hot buffet indoors prior to the shogun start, and refreshments and snacks throughout the day on the course. Golfers also had the opportunity to win prizes for various competitions on the course, in addition to lowest scores for first and second place. Former boxer Gerry Cooney played and took home the prize for “closest to the pin”.
Golfers were also treated to a Macallan Single Malt scotch tasting on the course graciously provided by Fieldstone Promotions.
“It was great to see so many turn out to support our organization. It was even better to hear that they had a wonderful time and plan on coming back next year,” stated Shelby Klein, Care Plus NJ Vice President of Development. “We’re very thankful to have such a generous support network within the north Jersey community,” she added.
Rain did arrive late in the day, however it didn’t appear to stop any of the golfers, most of which had already finished or were on their last few holes.
The event was capped off by a cocktail hour and dinner, plus raffle prizes and award presentations at the country club.
