Soundtrack Album Release: 28 Hotel Rooms by Fall On Your Sword
Los Angeles, CA, October 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- After the soundtrack album to Another Earth, this is the second time Milan Records works with Will Bates of Fall On Your Sword.
Fall On Your Sword are a multimedia music production company located in Brooklyn, NY. Since their launch in 2009, FOYS have notched up an impressive list of credits as recording and performing artists and are a rising force in the world of film scoring. In 2012, they received a World Soundtrack Academy nomination for Discovery of the Year for their work on Lola Versus and Nobody Walks.
The soundtrack to Matt Ross’ 28 Hotel Rooms is composer Will Bates’ most recent solo work. It will be released physically and digitally on November 6, 2012.
28 Hotel Room Synopsis
Both traveling for work, in a city in which neither lives, a man (Chris Messina) and a woman (Marin Ireland) have a one-night stand. Months later, in another city, they run into each other in a hotel restaurant and sleep together a second time. Though she's married and he has a girlfriend, they decide to keep meeting. This begins an unexpected love that slowly evolves into a profound relationship and threatens to impact everything else in their lives.
A Note From the Director
"From the start, Will and I had discussed a score that was textural, organic, propulsive. I never wanted the music to tell you what to feel or what you were supposed to think. At times I wanted the music to act contrapuntally and at times I wanted it to quietly enhance what was happening on screen," says Matt Ross.
The album also includes the credit song A Dash of Pixie Dust by Kirk Ross and Lindsey Haun’s Looking at You.
