Farrell’s to Host the Coolest Presidential Election Ever

Cast a vote for the US President by ordering your favorite candidate’s sundae. Results will be released Monday, November 5th. Everyone that votes can come back to Farrell’s to receive a free sundae on Election Day.

Brea, CA, October 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- There is nothing more patriotic, more self fulfilling, than casting your vote for the President of the United States and getting that “I voted” sticker. But let’s also face the fact that the actual voting process is not the most exciting.

Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlours and Restaurants want to change that. Every Farrell’s guest can cast their vote for the incumbent President Obama or presidential hopeful Romney by ordering their respective sundae until Sunday, November, 4. Then Farrell’s will announce the winner on Monday, November 5 on Farrell’s website and Facebook page.

The Obama sundae is a tropical escape for your taste buds. A 2-scoop, Hawaiian-inspired sundae featuring mango sorbet, pineapple topping, vanilla ice cream, more pineapple topping, whipped cream, a cherry and, of course, topped with an American flag.

The Romney sundae is a Farrell’s twist on everyone’s favorite, the Boston cream pie. 2-scoops of creamy vanilla ice cream, 2-layers of delicious hot fudge and homemade brownies, whipped cream, a cherry and Old Glory perched high atop.

Everyone that votes by ordering one of the candidate sundaes will receive an “I voted at Farrell’s” sticker. Then on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6, anyone that brings in their “I voted at Farrell’s” or official “I voted” election sticker to a participating Farrell’s will receive a free Farrell’s Classic Sundae with their meal purchase.

“Maybe, if this promotion goes well, the Electoral College would consider changing to the Farrell’s Election Sundae as the official way to elect our future presidents. But, I’m not going to hold my breath.” said Mike Fleming, Farrell’s CEO. “We just wanted to put together a fun promotion surrounding one of the greatest rights we have as Americans. We think an open and civilized discussion of ideas and beliefs is what strengthens our society and pushes our Country to be as great as it can be.”

To keep it fair, if a guest is not a fan of Pineapple but wants to vote for Obama, Farrell’s will allow a guest to order an Obama Sundae, Romney style. Or vise versa; order a Romney Sundae, Obama style if they love Pineapple.

The Obama and the Romney sundae can be purchased for $6.99. Results of the Farrell’s election sundae will be posted to Farrell’s Facebook page and posted to their website Monday, November 5th.
