School Bullying/Violence Conference Coming to Arizona
In reaction to the issue of school bullying/violence, Building Strong Families National Seminars is conducting a school bullying prevention symposium entitled the ‘Standing Up To Bullying’ Conference.
El Mirage, AZ, October 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Introducing the latest worldwide research on school (k-12) bullying and violence, the 'Standing Up To Bullying' conference is designed to enable and prep school administrators, educators, social workers, counselors, psychologists, and others who work with kids with skills and tools designed to acknowledge, decrease or abolish school bullying and violence. The strategies, methods, and interventions quoted in this conference evenly spans elementary thru high school students.

The presenter is Mark Lakewood, CEO and founder of Building Strong Families National Seminars, a distinguished bullying prevention expert, researcher, author, and speaker with over 20 years of clinical experience as a mental health therapist.
In 1986, Mr. Lakewood earned his Bachelors degree in Social Work at George Williams College, Downers Grove, Illinois. In 1987, while enrolled in the advanced standing program, Mr. Lakewood earned his Masters degree in Social Work at Aurora University, Aurora, Illinois.
Prior to starting his own private practice, he was employed at medical/psychiatric hospitals and clinics, and a family preservation agency. Mr. Lakewood has an extensive history providing therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. He also provided clinical and consultation services to numerous school administrators, educators, students, and families on issues of bullying and behavior management.
