Anti-Bully Performer Plays Bully on iCarly
Actress & Ventriloquist Christine Barger performs anti-bully shows for schools around the country, but this weekend she will play a bully on Nickelodeon's iCarly. Airs 10/27/12 at 8pm.
Los Angeles, CA, October 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Christine Barger was never a bully in high school, but she will be guest starring as one this weekend on the quirky Nickelodeon show iCarly. The episode "iRescue Carly" airs Saturday October 27, 2012 at 8pm.
Barger began performing ventriloquism as a child to cope with the loss of her baby brother. She found joy in both acting & ventriloquism, but her true passion for it came during a performance at a Shriner's Grief camp. There she shared her story with other children her age that had also lost loved ones and realized that she had the power to help others overcome emotional obstacles by sharing both her experiences and talent.
Barger now travels the country performing at colleges, schools, festivals, and even corporate events as a comedic ventriloquist with a message.
Her favorite program to perform (and the top requested from schools) is her anti-bully show. For all shows she uses a unique combination of scripted material and interactive comedic improv that uses audience participation which she calls "Ventrilo-Prov." Barger believes, "When the audience gets to be a part of the action, it's more likely they will remember the message."
When she's not on the road, you might find her working on films and television in her home city of Los Angeles. Her credits include ER, Dexter, 90210, Ghost Whisperer, Days of Our Lives, Made of Honor (w/Patrick Dempsey) & Pulse (w/Kristen Bell).
