BASF Wyandotte donates to Penrickton Center for Blind Children, located in Taylor, Michigan.
Wyandotte, MI, October 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- BASF recently presented $1,000 donation to Penrickton Center for Blind Children, located in Taylor, Michigan. Penrickton is a non-profit residential and day care agency serving blind, multi-disabled children ages one through 12.
“Teaming up with Penrickton is about helping to make our community better,” said Greg Pflum, Vice President and General Manager – Midwest Hub for BASF in North America. "The Center has enriched the lives of many families in our community through the outstanding services it provides.”
"We appreciate BASF's generous donation and continued support,” said Kurt Sebaly, Executive Director for Penrickton Center for Blind Children. “Since the Center's only means of funding stems from charitable donations and fundraisers, the donation from BASF helps us provide vital services to the children and their families.”
BASF’s Wyandotte site spans more than 2,100 acres and hosts multiple business groups, functions and manufacturing plants that produce a variety of urethane and specialty plastics products. The site employs about 1,200 full-time and contract employees.
