Long Term Care Insurance Association Summit Attendance Grows
Attendance at the National Long Term Care Insurance Summit is up despite industry turmoil according to the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance, the conference organizer.
Los Angeles, CA, October 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Nearly 550 insurance professionals focused on marketing and selling long term care insurance are registered to attend the upcoming national industry conference.
"Despite the provocative headlines about insurance companies ceasing sales the long term care insurance industry is very much alive and thriving," declares Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. The organization organizes the upcoming National Long Term Care Insurance Summit, the premier industry gathering which will take place November 10-12, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Registration for the national conference, the only third-party organized event that focuses exclusively on the marketing of long term care insurance products including traditional policies as well as the newer hybrid life insurance and annuity policies providing long term care benefits, has increased compared to the prior event. The Summit is held every 18 months.
"A record number of insurance professionals will be paying their own way to learn more about the latest developments in the industry as well as to network with other leading professionals from across the country," Slome explains. The Summit features some 30 different sessions featuring many of the nation's leading industry experts. "This year, Harley Gordon, president of the Corporation for Long Term Care Certification, will be doing a special half-day session exclusively for those who have completed the CLTC designation program."
One of the more anticipated sessions will feature four leading long term care insurance professionals who will explain how they now market and sell this coverage over the telephone and Internet. "Sales of long term care insurance continue to grow because there is no other adequate solution available to Americans and they know it," concludes Slome. "The energy at this year's event will be high and people will leave energized and prepared to better serve their clients and prospects."
Established in 1998 as a non-profit trade group, the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance advocates for the importance of planning for long term care and supports insurance and financial professionals who market LTC insurance.
