FormaShape Collects OSTEC Innovation Award
Kelowna, Canada, July 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Okanagan Science & Technology Council (OSTEC) has named FormaShape, a division of Whitewater Composites and market leader in the design and manufacture of fibreglass reinforced plastics (FRP) for architectural fascia products, winner of its Innovative Organization of the Year award. The award was presented to Peter Jeffrey, President of FormaShape, at the Fourth Annual Silicon Vineyard Innovations Gala, which was held at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna, British Columbia.
The Innovative Organization of the Year award recognizes a leading organization that has demonstrated innovation, leadership, sound business practices and community involvement in the research, development and/or application of science and technology.
Commenting on the award, Peter Jeffrey, President of FormaShape said, “This is a great honour and we couldn’t be more thrilled, especially for our employees. Over the past 18 months, our Company has been through some major cultural and strategic changes, not least of which was the launch of FormaShape itself. As part of this process, we have consistently tried to find new and better ways to do things, whether it is to reduce waste, increase productivity or enhance quality. With the active involvement of each and every one of our employees, we have developed an environment at FormaShape in which innovation is encouraged and nurtured. This award is a major endorsement of all our efforts, and we thank the judges for their support and recognition,” he concluded.
