Five Star Franchising Recognized as One of Utah's Best Places to Work

Spanish Fork, UT, October 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For the first time in company history, Five Star Franchising has been ranked among Utah’s Best Places to Work. The Utah Work/Life Team honored Five Star Franchising at a ceremony held in the Utah State Capitol on Thursday.
Lt. Gov. Greg Bell addressed a small group of just under 30 companies on Thursday afternoon, noting the national business appeal to Utah, a state backed in a strong history of work ethics and financial success.
Tyler Woodhouse, VP or Marketing, graciously accepted the honor for Five Star Franchising and spoke with Lt. Gov. Bell about the culture he and the rest of the executive team have established for their employees.
“It’s important to me and the rest of our executive committee that employees love showing up for work each day,” Woodhouse said. “We have a great team here, and we strive to cultivate meaningful relationships with each other. We’re just simply trying to provide an exceptional work environment for an exceptional staff.”
CEO Scott Abbott livens up the work place by regularly engaging his staff in team-building outings and activities, whether that is renting out an entire theater to premiere a company promotional video or taking a 15 minute foosball break during long afternoons.
“If I want my staff to provide an extraordinary experience for our franchisees and partners, then I have to start at the top by providing an extraordinary experience for my staff,” Abbott said. “We love our job here; it’s fun. And when work is no longer fun, for me it’s no longer worth while.”
