Volunteers Needed for the Erie Art Museum's Blues & Jazz Festival
Erie, PA, July 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Volunteers are needed for the 15th annual Erie Art Museum Blues & Jazz Festival scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 4 & Sunday, Aug. 5 in Frontier Park, Erie, Pa.
According to Sam Ansbro, Erie Art Museum volunteer coordinator, “Volunteer jobs include helping with set up, cleanup and teardown after the event is over, trash pickup throughout the day, parking, working the Bucket Brigade- which collects donations to support the Festival, selling Festival merchandise and making sure everything is running smoothly backstage.”
In support of the Festival’s "Green" efforts, volunteer positions are also available at the Festival’s bike corral, a safe, monitored location for Festival visitors to “check” their bike and in selling "Green" tags which later will be used to purchase trees for planting at Frontier Park.
The Erie Art Museum is looking for enthusiastic, hard working, trustworthy individuals that will dedicate one or two days to the Festival. Volunteers can sign up for a three-hour time slot or more during the day that is convenient for them. Students may use this as an opportunity for community service or a high school requirement. There will be breaks and a volunteer tent available for volunteers with snacks and opportunities to talk with the musicians.
