Eastland Lanes Hires New Manager
Collins Bowling Centers Hires a New Manager
Lexington, KY, July 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Collins Bowling Centers have been around the Lexington, KY area since the 50's and we are proud to announce that Eastland Lanes, a Collins Bowling Center, hired Ian Grossman as the new Center Manager in May 2007 and he has already made an impact. Since coming over from New Jersey to Kentucky Ian has developed quite a following. His experience really stands out in the Customer Service, Tournament and League aspect of the bowling industry. Although he has only been in KY for a little over a year he has people coming from all over Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio to bowl the local tournaments that he runs. Ian has developed Junior Scholarship Tournaments which were severely lacking in the state of KY. Collins Bowling Centers feels great to welcome Ian aboard and look forward to a prosperous future with him at the helm.
Collins Bowling Centers have been around the Lexington, KY area since the 50's and has developed a good reputation with their customers. The business tackles problems head on and that is one of the reason's Ian was brought on to work for them. They have heard from their customers that they would like to see an increase on the customer service side of the business. So they went out and got the best person for the job.
The industry has seen a lot of changes since becoming mainstream. The people used to come to a center and bowl because of bowling's competitive nature, but now people come bowling for the entertainment aspect. There are still leagues and that will always be the foundation of a bowling center but league play is down across the entire nation. By changing some of the ways they do business they will be able to capitalize on other avenues of revenue. Bowling birthday parties are becoming bigger, corporate events, glow bowling, tournaments and High School's all play a much bigger part in the industry.
