Daytime Emmy® Award-winning Composer Misha Segal to Appear on QVC® Introducing the Two-CD set Female and Female Part II
Los Angeles, CA, December 01, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Misha Segal brings his solo piano two-CD collection Female and Female Part II to leading electronic retailer QVC on Tuesday, December 6 at 12 PM (ET)/9 AM (PT).
The CD set (QVC Item #E29707) airs just in time for the holidays during QVC’s “Great Gifts” broadcast. Segal will also be performing live during the show.
Segal’s storied career spans film music, jazz, pop and classical in several continents. A musical icon in his native Israel, he’s scored over 89 feature film and TV movies in the U.S., including “Phantom of the Opera”; “The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking”; “The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus”, along with several TV movies of the week for all major networks and cable.
Nothing, however, prepared Segal for what was to be his biggest challenge and greatest reward – playing for his mother the music she inspired while she fought lung cancer; then bringing that same music, Female, to people around the world. Some of his audiences, too, are engaged in their own lives' battles, as is the case in Misha’s "Beauty Found in Unlikely Places" cancer center concert series; other audiences struggle with the more mundane activities of being human in today's world. As Segal wrote in the Female CD liner notes, “The world has become violent, crass and devoid of romance. Women work harder than ever and at times one forgets that deep inside there still is, and always will be, a craving for a beautiful lake under the stars, a bare foot on the sand and a gentle note attached to a rose…”
The Female and Female Part II CD set will be available while supplies last on QVC 800.345.1515 or www.QVC.com.
