The Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County Partners with Palm Beach County Schools Career Education Programs

West Palm Beach, FL, July 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County (HRPBC), an official chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), announced a new partnership with Palm Beach County Schools Career Education Programs. The partnership will provide members of HRPBC the opportunity to support Palm Beach County Schools Career Academies by mentoring students, serving in an advisory capacity, or sharing professional experiences with students. “This is a great opportunity for HR professionals to make an impact on the education of our future workforce and our community. Exposing our youth to seasoned business professionals or opening the doors for internship opportunities across the county will help guide our students in their chosen career paths and prepare them for the world of work immediately after high school or to help them in the development should they decide to continue their education.” said Darron Davis, Chief of Human Resources with the School District of Palm Beach County and HRPBC Board Chair, Workforce Readiness/Education Taskforce. “With this initiative, we are looking to show our students the vast opportunities that await them right here, at home, in Palm Beach County.” Olga Otero, HRPBC President said “This partnership is about what we can do as Human Resource Professionals to support the development of our future workforce. As an organization with close to 1,000 members we can engage our members in supporting a project that contributes to the development of Palm Beach County school students.
